Intra Energy Corporation prepares for major drilling at Maggie Hays Hill

Intra Energy Corporation prepares for major drilling at Maggie Hays Hill

Track and drill pad preparation is underway at the Maggie Hays Hill (MHH) Project of Intra Energy Corporation Ltd (ASX:IEC) and managing director Ben Dunn sits down with Proactive’s Jonathan Jackson to discuss.

Work at the project in the Lake Johnston Greenstone Belt of WA, includes a 2,000-metre reverse circulation (RC) drilling program scheduled to begin in the coming weeks. This will target the southern pegmatite lithium zone and various gold targets.

Following the heritage survey completion, the company has mobilised earthmoving equipment to clear tracks and drill pads, a process expected to take 5-7 days. The subsequent drilling will span 14-20 days, focusing primarily on 13 holes over 1,300 metres to test for spodumene mineralisation in outcropping pegmatites. The remaining 710 metres will explore multiple gold targets.

Dunn highlighted the rapid progress of the project, noting the identification of highly prospective LCT pegmatite spodumene targets and multiple quartz reefs with significant gold grades. The project aims to discover significant spodumene and/or gold deposits.

The MHH Project, covering 80% of the area, is accessible via well-formed tracks and is near the Norseman-Hyden Road and the Maggie Hays and Emily Anne nickel mines. The region's geology, consisting of faulted mafic and ultramafic rocks, is highly prospective for lithium, nickel and gold. Recent discoveries and transactions in nearby tenements underscore the region's mineral potential.
