Power One Resources (TSX-V:PWRO) has resumed drilling operations at its Pecors property in Ontario, after delays caused by adverse weather conditions.
The company plans to complete up to 1,400 meters of drilling across four holes, targeting a 7km by 3km wide anomaly with potential for nickel, copper, platinum group metals, uranium, and rare-earth oxide mineralization.
CEO Karim Rayani told shareholders that the company is “very excited to get the drills turning after a long-awaited program.”
The delays were caused by freeze-thaw conditions that lasted into the new year, Rayani said.
He emphasized the property's potential, adding, "The project holds significant potential for nickel-copper-PGM mineralization and uranium and rare-earth oxide mineralization in two completely different geological settings."
The proximity of the Eco Ridge project, which boasts nearly 60 million tons of uranium and rare-earth oxide resources, enhances the potential value and significance of the surrounding project area, Rayani said.
The Pecors property has shown promising results in previous drilling, with uranium values of up to 0.246% U3O8 over 0.94 meters. Additionally, the property hosts PGM-Ni-Cu mineralization related to the Pecors magnetic anomaly, a large regional magnetic high extending 18 km long and 4 km wide.
