Quantum Blockchain Technologies PLC (AIM:QBT) told investors that Forcrowd Srl, an Italian crowdfunding company in which it has a 41% stake, has successfully secured registration with the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA).
Forcrowd has registered as an authorised provider of crowdfunding services, following a rigorous application process.
With the newly acquired EU Passport, Forcrowd is now authorized to extend its crowdfunding services across all EU member states.
It is expected to allow the platform to host crowdfunding campaigns and facilitate fundraising efforts throughout Europe.
Now, Forcrowd's plans for the second half of 2024 include launching several crowdfunding campaigns focusing on the renovation, redevelopment, and energy efficiency of properties as well as promoting sustainable energy solutions.
“We are delighted that Forcrowd has obtained its EU Passport following a nearly year-long application procedure, which will allow them to fully launch their crowdfunding operations in two strategic sectors potentially across the whole of Europe; a significant increase in its market,” Quantum Blockchain chief executive Francesco Gardin said in a statement.
