Sirius Real Estate brings in a further £150m to accelerate acquisition policy

Sirius Real Estate Limited (LSE:SRE, JSE:SRE, OTC:SRRLF) has confirmed it has raised £150 million, earmarked to underwrite the property company's acquisition strategy.

After the close on Wednesday, the group revealed it would issue stock at 94p, a modest discount to the closing price. It is also carrying out a retail offer of stock via the PrimaryBid platform that could bring in a further £2.5 million.

Chief executive Andrew Coombs said the success of the fundraiser was "a strong endorsement of our ambitious growth strategy and operational track record".

He added: "That we have been able to raise further capital so soon after both our equity raise in November, from which all proceeds have now been successfully invested, and our c. €60m bond tap in May, demonstrates the continued appeal amongst investors of our strategy, platform and carefully assembled portfolio."

The new investment will be funnelled into a pipeline of properties in Germany and the UK.
