Lancaster Resources Inc (CSE:LCR, OTCQB:LANRF) announced a service agreement with AI and remote imaging company KorrAI Technologies to help Lancaster identify field targets for sampling, specifically for uranium at the Catley Lake and Centennial East properties.
The collaboration will leverage KorrAI’s AI-based detection and remote sensing capabilities to optimize exploration activities, according to a statement from Lancaster Resources.
KorrAI’s services include the identification and digitization of outcrop exposures, mapping iron oxide and vegetation stress signatures, integrating geological and geophysical datasets, and recommending exploration targets.
High-resolution optical imagery, hyperspectral data, and digital surface models will support these activities, Lancaster added.
The collaboration builds on a non-binding letter of intent signed in February 2024 between Lancaster and KorrAI, focusing on integrating hyperspectral imaging and AI modeling into Lancaster’s exploration processes. The initiative is designed to improve the efficiency and accuracy of mineral exploration, particularly for lithium, uranium, and rare earth elements.
Lancaster’s plans at Catley Lake and Centennial East include detailed surface outcrop mapping using state-of-the-art hyperspectral data to identify vegetation stress indicative of subsurface uranium.
The data, combined with geological structures and geophysics, will guide field targeting and future exploration activities.
