Housebuilders were among the risers when the election result was confirmed.
On cue Barratt Developments and Vistry deliver trading updates next week, which, one suspects, will contain a lot of support for Keir Starmer's plans for 1.5 million more houses.
Building on the Green Belt and speedier planning decisions are all things the new PM is in favour of so expect the builders' tone to be upbeat.
Big news next week, too, from the water sector where regulator Ofwat is scheduled to deliver its price determinations for the next five years.
This will include hefty rises to allow for infrastructure upgrades to halt the epidemic of sewage dumping by the utilities.
The tricky part is balancing this against potential dividend payments of sufficient size to keep private money interested in the sector, without which none of the new pipes will be built.
For Thames Water, in particular, not getting the prices it wants might even see it struggle to survive.
The Tories had threatened to nationalise London's water supplier in that scenario.
New PM Starmer made little reference to water in the campaign run-in but won't be able to avoid it if Thames does go bust.
Economic news this week sees US factory gate inflation and UK GDP, which presumably the new government will laud if it's good and blame the previous administration if not.
