VanadiumCorp Resource confirms new board of directors

VanadiumCorp Resource Inc (TSX-V:VRB) announced its new board of directors, following its annual shareholder meeting vote.

Shareholders overwhelmingly voted in favour of six candidates, the company said, including new chief executive officer and chairman Ian Mallory.

He takes over as CEO after Paul McGuigan completed his mandate as interim CEO, overseeing construction of the first electrolyte plant.

VanadiumCorp said there was also strong support for the other directors, who were also endorsed by the concerned shareholder in the dissident proxy circular dated June 11, ATM Mining.

Appointed for the coming year, Gilles Dupuis remains chief operating officer, while Peter Besenovsky remains CEO of VanadiumCorp GmbH, following his appointment earlier this year.

Ian Graham, nominated by ATM, becomes president, while Stephen Pearce remains corporate secretary.

Mallory said: “The strong new board and management team at VanadiumCorp will significantly enhance the execution of the company’s initiatives in the production and international sale of vanadium electrolyte and advancement of our strategic mineral resource at Lac Doré, Québec.

“I look forward to working with this dynamic, professional team to produce value for both our customers and shareholders."
