Tempest Minerals poised to begin drilling Remorse copper-zinc target at Yalgoo Project

Tempest Minerals Ltd (ASX:TEM) has completed all preparations and secured permitting approvals for a drilling program at the large-scale Remorse copper-zinc target, which is part of the flagship Yalgoo Project in Western Australia.

The company plans to complete an initial program of 5,000 metres with a reverse circulation (RC) drilling rig, scheduled to begin in mid-July.

TEM is waiting for earthworks to be completed before drilling can begin, which depends on safe weather and ground conditions. Heavy rainfall recently partially flooded the area.

Remorse target

Tempest selected Remorse as a drill target based on geochemical and geophysical anomalies identified during surveying.

The company has interpreted a large-scale 4-kilometre area prospective for copper-zinc mineralisation, running a second extensional geochemical survey to obtain more information about the target zone.

TEM collected about 80 soil samples from this new zone, which will be Ultrafine assayed and comprehensively scanned using Boxscan technology.

The results from that survey will also be available in mid-July.

Tempest says all preparations are complete and its team eagerly awaits improved ground and weather conditions, with plans to begin earthworks and drilling as soon as possible.
