Latitude 66 offers investors portfolio of precious and critical minerals as it floats on ASX

Latitude 66 offers investors portfolio of precious and critical minerals as it floats on ASX

Latitude 66 (ASX:LAT) managing director Grant Coyle speaks to Proactive's Stephen Gunnion after the company listed on the ASX following its reverse takeover of DiscovEx Resources.

Coyle shared insights into Latitude 66’s portfolio, which includes valuable assets in both Finland and Australia. He highlighted the flagship project, the KSB project in Northern Finland, with a defined resource of 650,000 oz of gold and 5,800 tonnes of cobalt.

Coyle explained the significance of cobalt, noting its importance as a strategic mineral under the EU’s Critical Materials Act. He also discussed the potential for Latitude 66 (ASX:LAT)’s assets to provide substantial geopolitical and supply chain benefits, especially given Finland’s status as the largest producer of cobalt outside China. The company's focus will be on exploration and drilling activities in Finland, with plans for a resource upgrade and a prepaid mobility study by the end of the year.

"We've got now a really great portfolio of valued assets. We have a clear focus in Finland but we thing we'll be able to unlock some value in the Australian assets as well," Coyle said.
