Silver North announces kickoff of Coeur Mining’s drill program at Tim project

Silver North Resources (TSX-V:SNAG, OTCQB:TARSF) announced that the 2024 drilling program has commenced at the Tim silver project in Yukon, which is under option to Coeur Mining (NYSE:CDE).

Coeur is funding and operating the program under its option agreement to earn up to an 80% interest in the property.

2,000 meters of drilling will be carried out targeting silver-lead-zinc Carbonate Replacement Deposit (CRD) mineralization similar to that found at Coeur’s Silvertip Mine property, located 19 kilometers to the south of Tim.

It will target both structurally-hosted “chimney” style mineralization and stratigraphically controlled “manto” mineralization.

Silver mineralization in trenches has been identified at the project dating back to the 1980s, Silver North highlighted.

Recent work completed by Coeur to verify previous sampling returned 468.1 grams per ton (g/t) silver, 21.1% lead, and 0.3% zinc over 4 metres from one re-opened trench.

“We are excited to see Coeur start the inaugural drill program at Tim,” Silver North CEO Jason Weber said in a statement.

“We are very pleased to be working with their experienced team in our efforts to bring new silver discoveries to bear for Silver North’s shareholders.”
