The Conservative Party is about to unveil a letter co-signed by more than a hundred bosses of small- and medium-sized companies (SMEs) in a last-ditch effort to shore up votes before the Thursday election.
According to a Sky News report, between 100 and 150 SME bosses have signed the letter, which will attack Labour’s supposedly anti-business policies.
It is currently unclear who the signatories to the letter are and what the specifics of the letter are.
Responses to the Sky News report on X were largely derisive, with one commentator stating: “Maybe the British public should write a letter about how much worse off they are under the Tories ???? Better still just vote them out on Thursday.”
“The Conservatives have consistently shown that they are not supporters of, nor even understand, SMEs and their business challenges,” said another.
Conservative Prime Minister Rishi Sunak will face off against Labour leader Keir Starmer, who is seeking to bring Labour back into power after 14 years, at the polls tomorrow.
