Baselode Energy Corp (TSX-V:FIND, OTCQB:BSENF) has reported high levels of radioactivity over wide intercepts at its ACKIO uranium project in the Athabasca Basin, northern Saskatchewan.
Notable results include 907 counts per second (cps) over 34 meters, with a peak of 9,173 cps over 0.4 meters.
Drill holes AK24-118 and AK24-119 showed the widest levels of radioactivity in Pod 6, with each drill hole revealing over 20 meters of cumulative radioactivity.
Drill holes AK24-117, AK24-118, and AK24-119 were intended to define the mineralization extent in Pod 6. AK24-117 intersected three lenses of continuous radioactivity with widths exceeding 6 meters between depths of 117.25 and 151.6 meters.
AK24-118 recorded an average radioactivity of 1,115 cps over 13.3 meters, similar to previous findings in drill hole AK22-035 but with nearly double the width.
AK24-119 showed continuous radioactivity with 907 cps over 34 meters and a zone of higher radioactivity of 2,328 cps over 6.6 meters, making it the broadest and highest average radioactivity intersection in Pod 6.
"AK24-119's results rank as one of the top 10 best drill hole radioactivity intersections at ACKIO, making this a unique drill hole," said James Sykes, Baselode's CEO.
The company plans to drill up to 12,000 meters at ACKIO, targeting the southeast zone where geophysical surveys suggest promising alterations and structural systems, unconformity-style mineralization along the Athabasca sandstone contact, and the depth of mineralized structures.
Additionally, a second drill rig has been mobilized for the Hook project, aiming for up to 4,000 meters with 15 to 20 drill holes across 5 to 7 target areas.
These targets were identified through multiple geophysical surveys, including ground gravity and ANT geophysical surveys. This drill will join the ACKIO program after completing the Hook exploration.
"Our technical team has done an incredible job of prioritizing prospective target areas along a 25 km-long uranium fertile structural corridor that hosts ACKIO and other uranium showings," said CEO Sykes.
