Digital bank and Clarkson among UK's fastest growing businesses

Digital bank Allica is the UK’s fastest growing business according to a new survey of the UK’s rising stars after notching up growth of almost 537% over three years.

Clive Henry Group, a Birmingham-based healthcare was second with average annual sales more than tripling, while food supplement brand Rheal, CBD drinks and oils maker Trip and health supplements brand Ancient + Brave asl featured in the top five.

Also doing well is Jeremy Clarkson’s Hawkstone Brewery and Manchester-based sportswear brand Castore, which numbers Andy Murray and the Issa billionaires among its backers.

Hawkstone Lager, created by Clarkson using ingredients grown at his Diddly Squat Farm in Chipping Norton, increased sales by 143% in its last financial year.

A quarter of the top 100 businesses were launched by women with fewer than half of the companies on the list based in London

According to the Sunday Times, the top 100 fastest-growing private companies have increased their sales by 118% a year over the last three years to a combined £2.9 billion.

In total, these companies employ 13,670 people, having created 10,000 new jobs in the last three years.

Ninety-nine of them plan further hires in the next 12 months, equating to around 3,800 additional roles.
