VanadiumCorp enters next development phase following successful electrolyte production

VanadiumCorp Resource Inc (TSX-V:VRB) said it is entering its next phase of corporate development marked by international marketing efforts for its vanadium flow battery technology.

The company has successfully produced an inventory of high-purity vanadium electrolytes at its Plant No. 1 in Quebec.

Utilizing the C-Tech electrolyzer system, the operations team has demonstrated the ability to manufacture electrolytes with tight specifications and low impurities.

VanadiumCorp said it is now receiving inquiries from Vanadium Flow Battery OEMs seeking a reliable, Canadian source of high-purity vanadium electrolytes.

To market the technology, Peter Besenovsky, CEO of VanadiumCorp's German subsidiary, is currently attending the International Flow Battery Forum in Glasgow, UK. Reporting from the conference, Besenovsky highlighted the growing need for long-duration energy storage solutions in Europe, particularly in Germany, as the integration of variable energy resources like solar and wind increases. Vanadium flow batteries are well-suited to address grid stability and renewable energy utilization challenges.

Following the conference, Besenovsky will hold meetings across Europe to introduce VanadiumCorp to industry and government stakeholders and negotiate the company's first round of electrolyte sales.

The company's technical team has completed scoping-level engineering for a second plant with an annual capacity of 4 to 8 million liters. With secured offtake contracts, it will take approximately 18 months of detailed engineering, procurement, and construction to operationalize Plant No. 2.

Paul McGuigan, CEO of VanadiumCorp, commented: "VanadiumCorp has constructed its first electrolyte plant in less than 12 months using mostly in-house technical staff. We look forward to our next phase of corporate development and commercial production enabled by the experience of our first plant."
