Sipa Resources Ltd (ASX:SRI) managing director Andrew Muir sits down with Jonathan Jackson in the Proactive studio to discuss preparations for an extensive drilling season across its Western Australian projects.
The company has completed a site visit at Paterson North to prepare for a regional and vector-style drilling program targeting multiple prospects. Paterson North includes the significant 25-million-ounce Tefler gold mine and the Winu and Havieron discoveries, though much of the tenure remains unexplored.
For the 2024 drilling season, Sipa plans to drill the north-eastern part of Paterson North and conduct an air core drilling program at the Skeleton Rocks Project. A detailed review of historical data for Skeleton Rocks confirmed its potential for nickel mineralisation, especially along the 7.5-kilometre Nicoletti Trend, where previous drilling yielded nickel, cobalt, and chromium.
At the Barbwire Terrace Joint Venture with Buru Energy Ltd (ASX:BRU, OTC:BRNGF), Sipa is planning a ground gravity survey to cover a data gap in the south-eastern portion of the project. This will support targeting for a diamond drilling program in 2025, funded partly by an Exploration Incentive Scheme grant.
Sipa continues to review its portfolio, remaining open to acquisitions, divestments, or joint ventures.
