Nike shares drop on Q4 earnings miss, revised outlook

Nike Inc (NYSE:NKE, ETR:NKE) shares fell afterhours as the athletic apparel and footwear company’s fiscal fourth quarter earnings disappointed and it pointed to a negative revision to its fiscal 2025 outlook.

“While we are encouraged by our progress, our fourth quarter results highlighted challenges that have led us to update our fiscal 2025 outlook,” Nike CEO Matthew Friend commented.

The company did not provide details of its revised outlook in its earnings statement released shortly after Thursday's closing bell, with these expected to be provided by management in Nike’s earnings call being held at 5pm Eastern Time.

For fiscal Q4, revenue was $12.6 billion, falling short of estimates of $12.9 billion.

Adjusted earnings per share (EPS) was $1.01, which excluded $0.02 of restructuring charges, ahead of estimates of $0.85.

For the full year, Nike’s sales of $51.4 billion were short of the $52 billion expected.

Adjusted EPS, which excluded $0.22 of restructuring charges, was $3.95, compared to estimates of $3.90.

Shares of Nike were down 4.2% at about $90 post-earnings.
