Burberry, GSK, Atome: What brokers said today

Burberry Group PLC (LSE:BRBY) is set for a revenue slump with its first quarter update next month says City analysts as new designs and less spending by its aspirational customer base take a toll.

Deutsche Bank has just reduced its sales forecast to minus 17% (from minus 12%) on weaker data from China and the US.

Deutsche Bank repeated its 'sell' on Liontrust Asset Management (LSE:LIO) after the asset manager's prelims on Wednesday citing a "lack of obvious strategy or catalyst to return the group to net inflows".

It also flagged an "increasing risk to the dividend in future years", which was only just covered by 2024 earnings and is "meaningfully uncovered based on forecasts for the coming two years.

After GSK PLC (LSE:GSK, NYSE:GSK) shares fell sharply on the back of US authorities restricting doses of respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) vaccine, analysts argued that the reaction seemed over the top.

Shares in Pfizer and Moderna, which also make RSV vaccines, fell 2% and 11% in New York overnight.
