Bango PLC (AIM:BGO, OTCQX:BGOPF) has announced a strategic partnership with Uber to expand the Uber One membership program globally.
This partnership will launch in the United States, allowing Uber One to be bundled with mobile phone and broadband plans and offered through Bango’s Digital Vending Machine (DVM).
This move aims to increase Uber’s 19 million strong membership base by opening indirect channels worldwide.
By joining the Bango DVM, Uber said it can easily establish direct relationships with telcos and other reseller partners.
The DVM simplifies the creation and management of subscription bundles, including free trials and discounts, facilitating Uber One’s inclusion in Super Bundling content hubs.
As subscription costs rise, consumers seek cost-effective deals. Bango’s research indicates a significant shift towards indirect subscriptions, with 20% of US subscribers opting for these channels.
Danielle Sheridan, Uber’s Head of Global Membership, emphasized the importance of this partnership in expanding Uber One’s reach.
Anil Malhotra, CMO at Bango, highlighted the demand for flexible access to subscription services, noting that Uber One’s integration with the DVM meets the growing consumer preference for multipurpose subscriptions.
