If you have a spare £2 million and want to drive faster than an F1 driver, if so Aston Martin Lagonda Global Holdings PLC (LSE:AML) new Valiant model might be for you, except you are too late.
Only 38 of the new vehicles will be manufactured but they have all already been allocated with deliveries to start by the end of this year.
In a seemingly defiant gesture to the move towards electric cars, the new car is lightweight carbon-fibre but comes with a colossal petrol-powered 5.2 litre Twin-Turbo V12 engine.
Marek Reichman, Aston Martin’s executive vice president and chief creative, said the Valiant would “honour internal combustion”.
Built by the company’s custom division, the Valiant follows the Valour special edition model created for the company’s 110th anniversary and stems from a request from F1 driver Fernando Alonso for a more extreme version.
Aston Martin said the Valiant would mark the “era of brutal V12 performance”.
Reichman added the car could be "enjoyed to the full on the racetrack, yet still be usable on the road".
Shares in AML dropped 2.7% to 150.7p
