Gungnir Resources kicks off exploration program at Hemberget property in Sweden

Gungnir Resources Inc. (TSX-V:GUG, OTC:ASWRF) has provided investors with an update on its exploration activities in northern Sweden.

The Canadian-based mineral explorer said earlier this month it commenced initial prospecting, mapping and sampling on its 29.4 square kilometer Hemberget property, which covers the northern portion of the Knaften structural dome offering the potential for gold and base metals.

There are four zones of occurrences known on the western and southern parts of the dome, three of which were discovered by Gungnir, the company highlighted.

To date, reconnaissance mapping has been completed at Hemberget including the submission of thirty-three samples for geochemical analyses, with mapping and analytical results pending.

The company said the surface work is part of its plan to increase exploration coverage across its property portfolio in Sweden to potentially generate new targets while continuing to evaluate options for its nickel resources, including the Lappvattnet high-grade nickel project.

Gungnir said it intends to rank all of its targets and projects and outline possible strategies moving forward.
