Nano One Materials Corp (TSX:NANO, OTC:NNOMF) and Worley senior executives have provided additional insights into their recently announcement strategic partnership.
Worley will deploy Nano One’s patented technology to produce cleaner and cost-competitive cathode active materials (CAM) for lithium-ion batteries.
The partnership leverages Nano One’s technology and supply chain partners and Worley’s industry-leading experience with engineering, procurement, vendors, and construction, to accelerate the commercialization, global deployment, and economies of scale for advanced CAM manufacturing solutions.
In a video update featuring Nano One CEO Dan Blondal and Worley Group President, Technology Solutions Laura Leonard, the companies highlighted how their low-cost, rapidly deployable plant design is made possible by eliminating waste and waste treatment.
“By eliminating waste treatment, we can avoid costly site-specific custom engineering while enabling low-cost, easier-to-permit, modular plants for a wide range of industrial sites,” Blondal said in a statement.
The next steps include developing a standardized design package and joint marketing.
“This package will be jointly marketed to facilitate faster decision-making and deployment of One-Pot enabled cathode production plants, starting with LFP-in key jurisdictions worldwide,” Blondal commented.
