Magnetite Mines announces $5 million rights issue; outlines progress at Razorback project

Magnetite Mines announces $5 million rights issue; outlines progress at Razorback project

Magnetite Mines Ltd (ASX:MGT) CEO Tim Dobson talked with Proactive about the company’s recent announcement of a $5 million rights issue. The funds will be used for working capital and advancing the Razorback project to the next stage. Eligible shareholders can purchase shares at $0.31 each, a 16.1% discount on the recent average price.

Dobson highlighted the participation of the company's senior management in the offer, reflecting their confidence in the project's trajectory. He also detailed the use of previously raised funds to clear debt and progress government approvals and metallurgical test work. Significant progress has been made in optimizing the project, with a focus on producing high-quality magnetite concentrates and exploring cost-saving innovations like saline water processing.

Moreover, Dobson shared that Magnetite Mines is in advanced negotiations with two strategic partners for substantial funding towards the final investment decision. He emphasized the alignment with both state and federal government initiatives to develop a green iron industry by 2030.

In conclusion, Dobson underscored the company's commitment to moving forward with project approvals, positioning Magnetite Mines as a key player in the emerging green iron industry in Australia. "We have one of the best quality and largest deposits to feed this industry in Australia," said Dobson.
