Powerhouse Energy Group PLC (AIM:PHE) jumped 10% early before giving back some of those gains after it reported its new TCC (Thermal Conversion Chamber) or kiln for its Bridgend Technical Centre was on site.
Imported from China, the waste-to-energy group said it would be the facility's centrepiece and allow 2.5 tonnes of waste each day to be transformed into syngas.
Paul Emmit, chief executive, said: Paul Emmitt: "This is a huge milestone for Powerhouse and draws a line under our past vendor issues.
"The progress that the Powerhouse Team as a whole (PHE and Engsolve) have made in the last six months is exceptional.”
PHE expects the new facility to be commissioned in the fourth quarter of this year.
