NVIDIA Corp (NASDAQ:NVDA) returned to being the world's most valuable company last night and in doing so its market cap exceeded the value of the whole London Stock Exchange.
After another 3.5% surge, the US chipmaker's market valuation swelled to $3.34 trillion, above Microsoft's $3.32 trillion and Apple's $3.29 trillion.
What's more, this is more than the $3.18 trillion combined value of all the companies on the LSE at the start of the week, when London regained the crown of Europe’s most valuable stock market for the first time in a year and a half.
London overtook the $3.13 trillion total value of companies listed in Paris after the French market slumped in recent days due to election uncertainty.
The LSE lost the crown to Paris in November 2022 in the wake of Prime Minister Liz Truss’s disastrous mini-Budget.
