Standard Uranium Ltd (TSX-V:STND, OTCQB:STTDF) told investors it has confirmed uranium mineralization in multiple drill holes at the Atlantic project, in the Athabasca Basin, Saskatchewan, Canada.
The company, in a statement, said its winter 2024 drill program revealed highly anomalous uranium in holes ATL-24-002, ATL-24-004A, and ATL-24-005A.
Elevated uranium levels were found in sandstone and basement-hosted zones, indicating a uranium-fertile system, it explained.
Additionally, the company noted the presence of several key uranium pathfinder elements which it said will provide vectoring information for future programs.
Significant structural disruptions and wide brittle-reactivated graphitic shear zones were also confirmed by the company’s drill results.
“Confirming uranium mineralization and dravite alteration in multiple holes from our inaugural drill program at Atlantic is a fantastic first result,” exploration vice president Sean Hillacre said in the statement.
“In addition, highly anomalous pathfinder elements coupled with the presence of a significant structural framework on the property provides the ideal conditions for high-grade unconformity-related uranium mineralization to follow up on.”
Follow-up targets and additional surveys are planned to further explore untested areas, the company highlighted.
