Aldoro Resources Ltd (ASX:ARN) has enlisted highly regarded mineralogy research and processing expert Professor Zhiguo He to conduct detailed bench testing on rare earth elements (REE) and niobium mineralised samples from the company’s flagship Kameelburg Project in Namibia.

Professor He, of the Central South University of China, will focus on the beneficiation and economic recovery of REE and niobium.
Aldoro says a total of 252 kilograms of mineralised samples have been delivered to the university for this purpose.

Professor He’s expertise and assistance and the ongoing test work at Bureau Veritas and Auralia in Perth have boosted the company’s confidence in a feasible metallurgical outcome for the Kameelburg Project.
The engagement will review two main processes:
- the beneficiation process that delivers a high recovery rate of contained REE and niobium; and
- the beneficiation process that produces a commercial-grade concentrate of REE and niobium.
The commercialisation review is expected to take several months.

Aldoro is also conducting metallurgical bench testing in Perth and with Shenghe Resources Holding Co, a leading manufacturer of rare earth products.
Professor He is well-recognised in the field of minerals processing and metallurgy, focusing on the beneficiation and extraction of metals from various minerals and the use of biological processes in metal recovery.
He has completed several successful processing studies over the past five years.
