Galliford Try to build new school in Paisley

Galliford Try Holdings PLC (LSE:GFRD), the UK construction group, has signed a £69 million contract to build the new Paisley Grammar School Community Campus near Glasgow on behalf of Renfrewshire Council.

Funded by Renfrewshire Council and Scottish Futures Trust, and part of the Scottish Government's Learning Estate Investment Programme, the school will have an all-weather sports pitches and a 300-seat theatre, alongside new educational facilities for 1,380 pupils.

Bill Hocking, Galliford Try’s chief executive, commented: "As our recently updated Sustainable Growth Strategy makes clear, education remains a core market for our business, and we are delighted to be working once again with Renfrewshire Council on this ambitious new school campus.”
