Coniagas Battery Metals (TSX-V:COS) said that recent drilling results from the Graal property indicate high copper equivalent values.
According to the company, numerous drill holes yielded promising results in known mineralized zones.
Drilling at the MHY and Gravi zones confirmed significant shallow, near-surface mineralization.
Key intercepts include 28.9 meters of 2.28% copper equivalent (CuEq) and 15.9 meters of 1.98% CuEq in two holes in the MHY zone.
In the Gravi zone, one hole returned 8.4 meters of 2.82% CuEq, while another reported 33.6 meters of 1.32% CuEq.
Coniagas is actively pursuing permits to expand the exploration and delineate the near-surface mineral resources at Graal, aiming to enhance the project's economic viability. The property benefits from excellent year-round accessibility, proximity to the Chute-de-Passe power station, and the industrial hub of Lac-St. Jean, which offers a skilled workforce and port access to the St. Lawrence River.
CEO Frank Basa told shareholders that the results at the MHY and Gravi zones underscore the “significant potential” of the Graal property.
“Our strategic location and robust infrastructure further enhance the project's attractiveness,” Basa said in a statement. “We are committed to advancing our exploration efforts and expanding our near-surface mineral resources."
