Voyageur Pharmaceuticals Ltd (TSX-V:VM, OTC:VYYRF) has announced a collaboration with Rain Cage Carbon Inc to develop advanced radiology contrast agents.
The partnership will focus on the commercial-scale production of gadolinium, bismuth, and iodine encapsulated within endohedral fullerenes.
Testing is set to begin later this month, the company noted, with the aim of creating a highly advanced contrast agents for Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) and CT scans.
The new compounds are expected to significantly enhance the precision and clarity of radiological scans, it added.
