Giyani Metals Corp (TSX-V:EMM, OTC:CATPF) has appointed global consulting firm Knight Piésold as the lead geoscience and tailings storage facility consultant for the K.Hill project's definitive feasibility study.
Knight Piésold’s responsibilities will encompass the geosciences work packages, including geochemical, geotechnical, hydrogeological, and hydrological studies.
Their scope of work will involve designing the field investigation program, supervising the works, data modeling, and completing interpretive studies, Giyani told investors.
K.Hill is a battery-grade manganese project in Botswana. Giyani is hoping to construct a demonstration plant and complete a definitive feasibility study by the first half of 2025.
Danny Keating, CEO of Giyani, told shareholders that Knight Piésold shares a vision for responsible TSF management.
“Giyani is committed to meeting the highest international standards for the project, and the long-term nature of tailings management requires world-class geotechnical and geoscience expertise to ensure the safety of the facilities during both the operating phase, and importantly, thereafter, post-closure of the plant,” Keating said in a statement.
The company recently tapped Wood Plc as the lead DFS consultant.
