Elon Musk announced said he would ban iPhones at his companies if Apple integrates OpenAI at the operating system level.
Musk, CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, and owner of social media company X, called this an "unacceptable security violation." He stated that visitors would have to leave their Apple devices at the door in a Faraday cage.
Earlier, Apple revealed new AI features across its apps and platforms, partnering with OpenAI to integrate ChatGPT technology.
Musk criticised Apple for relying on OpenAI instead of developing its own artificial intelligence, questioning its ability to protect security and privacy.
Despite Musk's stance, analyst Ben Bajarin (cited by Reuters) doubted others would follow, noting Apple's efforts to ensure data security in the cloud.
Musk had previously sued OpenAI, claiming it deviated from its original mission. He also founded xAI to compete with OpenAI, valued at $24 billion after raising $6 billion in series B funding.
