Standard Uranium Completes Inaugural Drilling Program at Canary Project with Promising Results

Standard Uranium Vice President of Exploration Sean Hillacre joined Steve Darling from Proactive to announce the completion of the company's inaugural drilling program at the Canary Project, which has highlighted localized anomalous radioactivity and prospective rock types typical of basement-hosted uranium deposits. The Canary Project is located in the prolific eastern Athabasca Basin, northern Saskatchewan. Hillacre reported that anomalous radioactivity was intersected in one of the four inaugural drill holes at the Canary Project.

In addition to this, multiple zones of favorable alteration were identified, including hydrothermal silicification, clay, chlorite, and hematite. Notably, fracture-hosted elevated radioactivity was intersected in drill hole CAN-24-004, with ratios greater than 4:1 measured using a handheld RS-125 Super-Spec device. This suggests significant hydrothermal uranium input. The Canary Project holds substantial potential for further discoveries along three different and significantly underexplored conductor systems. To enhance understanding and identify additional targets, supplementary geophysical surveys will be conducted over all three corridors. These surveys will inform phase II and III drilling, aiming to capitalize on the significant discovery upside at the Canary Project.
