SpaceX's Starship completes succesful test flight

The super-massive SpaceX giant Starship has successfully returned to earth landing in the Indian Ocean, completing its its fourth test flight.

SpaceX founder Elon Musk said: ""Despite loss of many tiles and a damaged flap, Starship made it all the way to a soft landing in the ocean."

At around 1.50pm GMT, the aircraft succefully launched, with its Super Heavy booster having achieved a 'soft splashdown' as planned.

With the launch taking place at the company's Boca Raton base on the Texas coast, it follows significant progress made on the previous test for the 120-metre tall rocket.

It represents a significant improvement from the previous test flight, which saw the booster destroyed.
