C3 Metals Inc (TSX-V:CCCM, OTC:CARCF) revealed new drilling results from its Camel Hill porphyry prospect, located within the 100%-owned Bellas Gate project in Jamaica.
The company intersected promising mineralization, highlighting the potential for extensive copper and gold resources.
In one drill hole, C3 Metals intersected 294 meters at 0.30% copper and 0.13 grams per ton (g/t) gold from surface. The hole terminated in 0.36% copper mineralization at a depth of 600 meters.
The result builds upon the previous success of drill hole CMH8350-001, reinforcing the prospect's mineralization potential.
Drilling also confirmed strongly altered diorite porphyry with chalcopyrite-rich quartz stockwork veining.
Two additional holes drilled at Geo Hill intersected low to moderate grade copper-gold mineralization over broad intervals.
Despite no significant assays, a hole drilled approximately 500 meters west of Camel Hill displayed pervasive epidote-chlorite-pyrite alteration, indicating the potential for further mineralization.
The northwest-southeast trending copper-gold anomaly, with greater than 225 parts per million (ppm) copper in soil geochemistry, extends approximately two kilometers from Geo Hill to Camel Hill.
The drill results from both Camel Hill and Geo Hill, combined with coincident geochemical and geophysical anomalies, suggest a large hydrothermal system, C3 CEO Dan Symons told shareholders.
“In fact, when stepping back and looking at our Bellas Gate and Arthurs Seat projects, there is 18 km of strong copper-gold soil and rock geochemistry with confirmed multiple porphyries clustered along two distinct northwest-southeast trending belts. Our goal is to find the most fertile areas of this expansive system and work to define economic volumes."
The company intends to update 3D geologic models and plan further drill holes to evaluate both near-surface and deeper levels of the Camel Hill porphyry system.
Additionally, trenching and channel sampling have been completed at the Arthurs Seat project and the 50%-owned Super Block project, with assay results forthcoming.
