Pegasus Resources Inc. (TSX-V:PEGA) has developed a preliminary geological model for its Energy Sands project, using recent mapping and historical drilling data to identify and target mineralized paleochannels for an upcoming drill program.
The company engaged Dahrouge Geological Consulting USA Ltd to create a preliminary geological model for the project in Utah.
The model is designed to support the company's upcoming drill program and permitting efforts.
In a statement, Pegasus said mapping provided comprehensive insights into the property's lithologies, geological structures, and mineralization controls, particularly the paleochannel structures influencing uranium and vanadium deposits.
Dahrouge's model, built using this new data and the 2015 Utah Geological Survey map, will guide drill target definition and support the submission of a Notice of Intent to the Bureau of Land Management (BLM).
During this process, Pegasus also received historical drilling data from 1975, which included drillhole locations, geological logs, and downhole geophysical surveys. Dahrouge integrated this historical data with recent findings, confirming consistency and helping to identify mineralized paleochannels.
Field samples previously returned high values of uranium and vanadium, reinforcing the property's potential.
The geological model and historical data will direct Pegasus' future drilling campaigns, aiming to unlock the mineralization potential of the Energy Sands project.
