Lobe Sciences Ltd (CSE:LOBE, OTCQB:LOBEF), a biopharmaceutical company developing transformative medicines for rare diseases, announced that Dr Harry Jacobson will join its board of directors.
Dr. Jacobson, who was formerly vice chancellor for health affairs and CEO of the Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC), will bring to the company over three decades of experience in healthcare, biotechnology, and medical innovation.

“Dr. Jacobson’s remarkable track record in healthcare and his passion for advancing medical science align perfectly with our mission to transform the development of treatments for neurologic diseases.
“His expertise will be instrumental as we navigate the evolving landscape to develop and commercialize our lead programs for Chronic Cluster Headaches and Sickle Cell Disease.”
Lobe highlighted that VUMC saw significant growth, during Jacobson’s time, with its budget expanding from $750 million to $2.50 billion. His tenure also saw a rise in Vanderbilt’s federally funded research ranking from 24th to the top 10 in the country.
As an entrepreneur, he founded and/or co-founded several companies, including Contact Software, Renal Care Group, and CeloNova Biosciences. He has also served on the boards of major companies like Merck, Kinetic Concepts, and Renal Care Group.
