Medicus Pharma eyes initial public offering in the US

Medicus Pharma (TSX-V:MDCX) told investors that it has filed a registration with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) for a proposed initial public offering of its securities in the United States.

The company said the proposed offering is for units of the company consisting of shares and warrants, which it intends to list on a US national securities exchange in connection with the offering.

The number of securities on offer and the price range for the offering are yet to be determined, it added.

The offering is expected to take place after the SEC completes its review process and is subject to market and other conditions.

Toronto-based Medicus Pharma is a biotechnology/life sciences firm. Its wholly-owned subsidiary SkinJect is focused on commercializing a novel, non-invasive treatment for basal cell skin cancer using a patented dissolvable microneedle patch to deliver a chemotherapeutic agent to eradicate tumor cells.
