Gem Diamonds Limited (LSE:GEMD, OTC:GMDMF) shares jumped 8% following the discovery of a 212.49-carat Type II white diamond at the Letšeng mine in Lesotho.
This is the sixth diamond over 100 carats uneartherd this year.
Gem Diamonds, a producer of high-value diamonds, owns 70% of the Letšeng mine, renowned for its large, exceptional white diamonds.
The Letšeng mine is the highest dollar-per-carat kimberlite diamond mine globally.
In the early exchanges, the stock was up 1.01p at 13.51p.
