Quadrise signs framework agreement with OCP for MSAR supply and commercial trial

Quadrise PLC (AIM:QED) has signed a commercial framework agreement with phosphate and fertiliser group OCP regarding the supply of shipping fuel MSAR and to carry out a paid-for trial at the Jorf Lasfar site in Morocco.

MSAR (pronounced ‘em-sar’) is Quadise’s green transition fuel for the shipping, industrial and utilities sectors.

Under the agreement, Quadrise will identify suppliers capable of producing MSAR to meet OCP's demand.

Additionally, Quadrise will update the technical, economic, and feasibility study for converting OCP’s Jorf Lasfar site to MSAR consumption.

The agreement also includes the installation of a five-tonne per hour MSAR Manufacturing Unit to emulsify locally available heavy fuel oil.

A 30-day combustion trial will be conducted to assess the operational performance of MSAR fuel at the site. Successful completion of this trial is required before finalising the commercial supply agreement.

Jason Miles, chief executive of Quadrise, said: "This agreement marks a hugely significant step for Quadrise. We are delighted to be progressing towards the commercialisation of our technology with OCP, who are world leaders in their sector.

“This agreement provides a clear pathway to long-term commercial revenues and an opportunity to create a supply point for our fuels in the Mediterranean, a strategic location for marine bunkering.

“We look forward to progressing commercial supply discussions with prospective suppliers and to working with the OCP team to complete the commercial trial. Based on the success of the previous trial, we have every confidence in its successful conclusion."
