A bank holiday on Monday precedes a quiet week on the reporting front, but Pets at Home, Dr Martens and US economic data will still give investors something to mull over.
Intermediate Capital kicks off proceedings on Tuesday after the long weekend, with investors hoping for yet another year of growing shareholder rewards.
Pets at Home will then look to calm nerves with results on Wednesday following a downgrade to profit guidance in March on the back of lower consumer spending.
Eyes then turn to Dr Martens on Thursday in search of any positives after what has been a tough year for the boot maker, in which profit is expected to have fallen sharply.
