CleanTech Lithium PLC (AIM:CTL, OTCQX:CTLHF) has announced the shipment of its first batch of 24.00 cubic metres of high-quality concentrated eluate to the United States.
The concentrated eluate was produced at CleanTech Lithium's DLE pilot plant in Chile, and, in America it will be processed by Conductive Energy, into a battery-grade lithium carbonate.
This initial shipment marks the first of several batches to be processed into battery-grade lithium carbonate, the company noted.
It is seen as a significant step toward the company's goal of commercial production of battery-grade lithium.
"The shipping of eluate for processing into battery grade lithium carbonate represents further good progress for the company, as it advances towards commercial production,” interim chief executive Steve Kesler said in a statement.
“When the planned downstream processing is completed, samples of battery-grade lithium will be sent to potential off-takers and investors for analysis, which, along with the PFS planned for later in the year, will support the next phase of the company's development."
