Powerhouse Energy Group PLC (AIM:PHE) has been granted a UK patent that gives intellectual property protection around the utilisation of recirculated synthesis gas.
PHE added it is another significant milestone as it develops technology to create a novel solution for the clean energy market.
The UK, in particular, is expected to become a key market and the granting of patent protection is therefore an extremely important step for the company.
Powerhouse is already in discussions with a number of clients, it added and is working on patent applications within Europe and the rest of the world.
Paul Emmitt, PHE chief executive, said: "We are delighted to have secured this GB patent, which will allow us to accelerate the development of commercial applications for our technology.”
