Arecor Therapeutics has annouced on Monday announced impressive results from the clinical trial of theirfast-acting insulin product, AT278.

Sarah Howell highlighted that AT278 not only met but exceeded all primary and secondary endpoints in the trial, demonstrating faster insulin absorption and a superior glucose-lowering profile. These findings are particularly significant for Type 2 diabetic patients with high BMI, a group that often struggles with insulin resistance and requires higher doses of insulin.
AT278 offers a unique advantage by combining high concentration (500 units per ml) with rapid action, addressing the shortcomings of current insulin options. Arecor is now focused on analysing the complete data set, with plans to present its findings at an upcoming diabetes conference and explore strategic partnerships to bring AT278 to market.
