Smiths Group (LSE:SMIN) said it saw another quarter of “strong” organic sales with aerospace components and oil and gas seals leading the way.
Organic revenue growth rose 7.7% making 5.2% for the nine months to May in this financial year.
Allowing for four extra trading days this time, the growth on a comparable basis was 6.1% (YTD 4.6%).
Engineering group Smiths said the progress had put it on track to hit full-year organic revenue growth of 4-6%, with continued margin expansion.
John Crane [oil seals], Smiths Detection and Flex-Tek Aerospace all had good quarters, said Roland Carter, chief executive.
“We continued to deliver strong results, building further on last year's record performance and our solid first half.
"Our strong results for the year to date, together with our visibility for the final quarter, gives us confidence in our full-year guidance.”
