King Charles worth less than prime minister, claims Times Rich List

King Charles's wealth has been ranked at £610 million, meaning Prime Minister Rishi Sunak is richer than him, according to the Times Rich List 2024.

With an expansive property portfolio, the newly-crowned King owns estates such as Sandringham and Balmoral Castle.

When Queen Elizabeth II passed away, Charles inherited all of his mother's wealth as well as around £120 million in investments.

Yet, the true wealth of the King remains shrouded in mystery, with the exact figure from his mother's will kept private.

What the public does know is that he now owns the Duchy of Lancaster, the property portfolio which spans around 44,700 acres of land, and the Crown Estate, which covers real estate, land, marine and the Windsor Estate.

Added to the Crown Jewels, which could be worth anywhere between £3 billion and £5 billion, and there is a strong case King Charles should rank higher on this list.
