OTC Markets Group Inc. (OTCQX:OTCM) has introduced overnight trading with a new offering that will enable investors to engage in trading activities from Sunday through Thursday between 8pm and 4am Eastern Time.
The newly unveiled OTC Overnight service will encompass a wide array of active securities across various tiers of the OTC markets, boasting notable global brands such as Roche, Adidas, Air Canada (TSX:AC.B), and Techtronic Industries.
Trading will be conducted in US dollars, facilitating seamless transactions for broker-dealer subscribers.
The company expects OTC Overnight to launch in the second quarter of 2024 on the OTC Link NQB Alternative Trading System, empowering investors to monitor and trade thousands of global equity securities during Asian market hours, European market open, and overnight in the US.
Matt Fuchs, executive vice president of market data at OTC Markets Group, emphasized the significance of this milestone.
“We have witnessed a surge in demand from investors, broker-dealers, and other market participants seeking access to the world's largest financial center within their respective time zones,” Fuchs said in a statement.
“We are uniquely positioned to fulfill this need and unlock new avenues of opportunity for thousands of global equities.”
With the launch of overnight trading, OTC Markets Group said it aims to expand accessibility and provide comprehensive market data coverage for the OTC markets.
As the demand for overnight trading intensifies and more clients join the platform, OTC Markets Group intends to expand the offering to encompass additional securities within its network.
