Intrepid Metals strikes more high-grade copper at Corral

Intrepid Metals Corp (TSX-V:INTR, OTCQB:IMTCF) said it had intersected more high-grade copper at its Corral copper property in Cochise County, Arizona.

The program, targeting near-surface carbonate replacement and related supergene enrichment oxide copper-gold-silver-zinc mineralization, has yielded significant intersections, according to a statement from Intrepid.

During the drill campaign, Intrepid intersected shallow mineralization, including 72.2 meters of 1.28% copper within 198 meters of 0.68% copper equivalent (CuEq).

Other results include 1.60 meters of 5.72% CuEq and 133.2 meters of 0.64% CuEq, among others.

The Ringo Zone, situated along a three-kilometer-long trend of copper-gold-silver-zinc bearing carbonate replacement bodies, has demonstrated significant potential.

Intrepid has completed nine holes in the Ringo Zone, totaling 2,105 meters, with strong results.

"The Corral copper project has once again returned remarkable shallow copper grades and mineralized intercepts at the Ringo Zone," Ken Brophy, Intrepid’s CEO said in a statement.

Brophy noted two holes at Ringo that highlighted Corral’s gold potential with an intercept of 21.3 grams per ton (gpt) gold (Au) over 1.1m in one and 15.84 gpt Au over 4.71m in another.

"The drilling at Ringo is illustrating the project's gold endowment with broad intercepts of highly continuous, locally high-grade gold mineralization,” Brophy added, “which we expect will make a significant contribution to the economic potential of the project.”

Intrepid's ongoing drill campaign, comprising 20 diamond drill holes covering approximately 3,900 meters, aims to validate the copper-gold-silver-zinc mineralized footprint's economic viability.
