Abitibi Metals Corp (CSE:AMQ, OTC:AMQFF) announced plans to undertake a comprehensive high-resolution property-wide gravity survey at the B26 Polymetallic Deposit.
The survey, scheduled to commence on May 14, aims to provide valuable insights into the geological characteristics of the B26 deposit and identify potential similar targets within the property.
The objective of the gravity survey is to delineate the signature of the B26 deposit environment and explore the presence of other mineralization targets, Abitibi said in a statement.
Jonathon Deluce, CEO of Abitibi Metals, told shareholders that the survey “will serve as an important tool in understanding the deposit and the potential of the project overall."
“The B26 footprint currently has a strike length of 1.6 kilometers, but we have identified a targeted trend of approximately 5.5 kilometers west of this footprint, which will be investigated by this survey."
Deluce also highlighted the survey's significance in complementing the findings of the recently completed 13,500-meter drill program and preparing for Phase 2 of the project.
Having concluded its Phase 1 winter drill program at the B26 Polymetallic Deposit, Abitibi reported drilling a total of 13,502 meters over 44 holes. This program was part of a fully funded 30,000-meter 2024 field season.
Abitibi Metals said it has $18 million available to complete the remaining 16,500 meters planned for the 2024 work program.
