US Gold Corp (NASDAQ:USAU) announced today a significant milestone in its CK gold project development, with the issuance of its surface gold mine permit by the Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality (WDEQ).
The mine operating permit, issued to subsidiary Gold King Corp, marks a pivotal step forward for US Gold Corp (NASDAQ:USAU), paving the way for the advancement of its flagship CK gold project.
"Having previously been granted the Industrial Siting Permit in June last year and now the Mine Operating Permit we have cleared the major regulatory hurdles towards project development,” CEO George Bee said in a statement.
“Work to meet final authorization for development is well underway.”
Bee further outlined the remaining steps towards full authorization, including the approval of the reclamation bond, the final stages of approval for the Wyoming Pollutant Discharge Elimination System permitting process, and ongoing technical review by the WDEQ Air Quality division.
Luke Norman, executive chairman of US Gold, hailed the achievement as “outstanding.”
“Since shifting the company's focus in August 2020 from exploration to the development of the CK Gold Project, through the receipt of the Mine Operating Permit, is a remarkable achievement,” Norman commented.
Situated on state and private ground in Wyoming, the CK gold project benefits from a favourable regulatory environment, characterized by a clear framework and knowledgeable authorities dedicated to responsible resource management.
