Standard Uranium Ltd (TSX-V:STND, OTCQB:STTDF) has kicked off drilling ahead of schedule at its Canary project in Saskatchewan.
The drilling campaign is targeting approximately 1,000-1,500 meters across three to four drill holes, with a focus on shallow, high-grade unconformity-related uranium mineralization.
Helicopter-supported diamond drilling will zero in on high-priority unconformity-related uranium targets, meticulously delineated through geophysical work conducted by Standard Uranium in 2022.
The ideal unconformity and basement target zones lie within approximately 200-350 meters below the surface, according to the company.
A diamond drill will home in on the highest-priority target area along the northern electromagnetic corridor, probing a significant resistivity anomaly coinciding with modeled VTEM conductors for the first time.
The Canary project, spanning an expansive 7,302 hectares, is currently operating under a three-year earn-in option agreement with Mamba Exploration Ltd (ASX:M24).
Mamba will cover 100% of the program's costs to fulfill the year-one expenditure requirements stipulated in the option agreement.
Situated in the prolific Mudjatik geological domain, the Canary project stands adjacent to recent discoveries such as IsoEnergy’s Hurricane Deposit, strategically located just 11 kilometers to the south.
